Circa 2008
I had a fantastic time traveling dream last night. Or at least I think so, I can only remember some parts: floods, betrayals, and super hero teams. Still in a half dream state on the way to work, I had two thoughts:1) What if something very wrong with today’s society was caused by people from the future who went back in time, fucked everything up, tried to clean it up, but couldn’t get it perfect?
2) Imagine going back in time, full of vague knowledge about physics, biology, and technology and having to try and teach/recreate that stuff to our ancestors. It would be the frustration of helping our parents with computer problems times a thousand. I don’t even know where I would start. Electricity? Cell structure? Combustible engines? Basics about the universe? DNA? Relativity? Calculus? I’m pretty sure I would fail very very hard.
These have both surely been movie plots; I’m going to continue pretending I’m original.
